議員報酬１０％削減へ　前橋市議会2005年03月17日

上毛新聞、群馬のニュースより。

　前橋市議会は十五日の各派代表者会議で、議員の報酬と期末手当について、四月から二〇〇九年二月の任期満了まで１０％削減する条例案を、開会中の三月定例会に議員提案することを全会一致で決めた。定例会最終日の二十九日に可決される見込み。議員報酬は年間約四千七百万円の削減となる。

　議員報酬（月額五十八万五千円）は、各会派とも「市の厳しい財政状況を踏まえ、引き下げる必要がある」の認識で一致した。減額の幅は、合併で市域が広がったことなどを踏まえて総合的に判断した。

　同市では高木政夫市長が昨年六月から〇八年二月の任期満了まで、財政事情を理由に給与を２０％削減している。


◎桐生は５％

　桐生市議会は十五日、議会運営委員会を開き、市議の報酬を５％削減するとした報酬特例条例案の議員提出を決めた。議会事務局によると、同市議の報酬カットは初めて。十八日の三月定例会本会議に上程し、可決の見込み。

　厳しい財政状況を背景に六会派すべての同意で提出、一年間の時限措置としている。今定例会には市長ら特別職の給料を５％削減する条例案も提案されている。

　市議の報酬は現在、月額四十九万円で、一九九六年四月から据え置かれている。

さいたま市は政令市になったことを理由に、市長給与と議員報酬が大幅アップ。
当面今年の５月まで、引きあがった額からわずかに減額（５％〜１０％）したけど、月に２３万も上乗せ。反対の請願署名も７万筆出されたのに、不採択。
おんなじ議会でもずいぶん違うものですね。

議員本来の仕事を明朗にやってくれれば、もっと多くの歳費、いや、議員調査費を与えてもいいと考えているので、一面的に捉えたくはありません。
逆を言うと、志のある人をもっと議会に送り込まなければならないとも思います。
